We had PE today. It was absolutely fine, we were playing in the sports hall (which had one of those classic school hall floors) and we were playing badminton. More accurately "Around the World", which is when you hit the shuttle and run round to the other side and get ready to run up and hit it again. About 10 people play on one court and you have three lives.
I'd already won one game and had lost one life in the second one. I was running toward the other side when I fell over.
It was bad enough that I was holding a racket, and I'm sure anyone who's ever fallen over with a racket knows what I mean, and may hand was throbbing for a minute. But the rest over my body was hardly "well off". I skidded for about a metre along the floor, bruising my right leg and getting a burn on my left knee, before colliding with the wall.
Pretty much everything has stopped hurting except for my knee. It's rubbing against my trousers (and I'm not wearing anything shorter that my knee: it's cold!).
So, that enough of the self-pity fest, I hope you all happy and that you haven't collided with any wall recently.
