Anime/Manga

I've started to really get into Japanese anime and manga recently. So far I've have:

  • Watched all of "Ouran High School Host Club" (anime). It was really funny and generally awesome but sexual references make it only suitable for 13+ year olds... Unless you've already been "exposed" as it were >.> There is a manga for it as well, but I haven't gotten around to reading that yet >.>
  • Watched all of the "Hetalia" (anime) episodes that are out and have been subbed in English and put up on the website I watch them from *mouthful*. Serious "lol", serious awesome :D This show is basically the personified versions of countries doing metaphorical stuff that reflects historical events. And guess who my fav country is? Yeah, it's England X3 Again, this series has a manga, but I can't find it D: *needs to read*
  • Watched all the "Soul Eater" anime episodes and read all of the manga out so far! SERIOUS SQUEEEEEEE!!!!! The manga in my opinion is better than the anime, though the drawing skill of the manga was kinda rubbish at the start.... >.> BUT IT IS EPIC NAO!!!! Favourite character HAS to be Death the Kid. I believe a brief description is in order... http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=death%20the%20kid&rls=com.microsoft:en-gb:IE-SearchBox&oe=UTF-8&rlz=1I7GGLL_en&redir_esc=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi
(link is multiple pictures of the guy in question)
So basically, he is the son of the death god Shinigami (or something), he's obsessed with everything being organised (especially obsessed with symmetry, which he can't have himself 'cause of those cute-ass stripes X3). And when I say obsessed, I mean OCD. In the first episode you see him he has frickin' HOLES drilled into him and he won't attack 'cause of the guys symmetry -.- So yeah... like
  • Started watching "Card Captor Sakura", a rather old anime that I'm only watching because of my friend. She was talking about it on the way to school ages ago, and since we started watching all of these animes on this one site she managed to find it. It's actually not bad for a childrens show from like 10 years ago XD
  • Durarararararararalaldidadum (it's actually called "Durarara!!" but I can never remember the name properly X3) Watched a couple of episodes, need to watch moar.

So... there you go >.>

The Man (incomplete poem I really should think about finishing >.>)

The child skipped through the meadow,
With a broad smile on his face,
Sun shining down upon his back,
Heart beating at a race.

The child was happy today,
Feeling the grass rush past his legs,
The scent of the flowers and chirping
Of the birds with their eggs.

But as he reached the beaten track
He came across a man there
He wore sorrow on his face
And frustration in his hair

And many hard times upon,
His legs and arms and back,
Travels on his feet,
And a burden in his sack.

The boy did pity the man
And asked with sympathy;
“You look tired dear man
Why don’t you give that sack to me?”

The man looked at the boy,
His face quite far from glad,
“I can not give this burden,
To someone else my lad.”

“Please stranger I can help!”
The young boy replied,
So the man gave the boy his sack,
And the boy took it with pride.

Suddenly the boy felt a change
His body felt much older.
And he trembled from the weight
Of the sack over his shoulder.

The man saw his discomfort
And reached to take it back,
But the boy held on tightly,
As they fought for the sack.

Then suddenly there was a noise,
And the bag began to tear,
And then it ripped and the contents
Were strewn everywhere.

Lying on the path,
Was a wedding ring
And a note, blurred by tears
Amongst many cherished things.

The boy did not understand
How these few this could weigh
So much, so he questioned the man
Who answered in dismay;

“My wife died a few months back
Because of things I’ve done,
So I carry her memory upon myself,
Until my life is also gone.”

The boy knelt, lifted the ring
Its heavy weight upon his hand
The gem was dull, its shine long gone
Silver sheen dulled by the sand.

The boy held the ring to his heart,
And back to the man he turned,
The boys face now wore a smile,
Despite what he had learned.

He said gently to the man,
“We shall carry it together.”
And suddenly the burden
Came as lightly as a feather.

God this is going to be a looooong poem XD

The Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

So I got the new LOZ game on Saturday, and I'd thought I'd give anyone who cared a quick glimpse into it (bare in mind I've only had it a few days and I'm swamped with work at the moment so I'm not very far through). If you can't be arsed to read it all, just scroll to the bullet points for important stuff 'kay?

I've never played any of the other Zelda games before so I can't compare it to others, but as games go it's really very good. LOZ:ST is a prequel to the others, as far as I can tell, and is set when Link leaves his village to become an engineer. Some adverts you may have seen (definitely in the UK, don't know about other countries...) suggest that if you enjoyed the Prof. Layton games then you'd love this one. As far as the puzzles go, they're not as hard or as... puzzling as the ones in P.L, but they are interesting and do make the play slightly more challenging. It also adds some variety to the game so it's not all attacking things with swords.
The method of playing the game irks me slightly, although it's only because I prefer using the controls rather than the touch screen (because my touch screen is seriously screwed XD. The game play consists entirely of touch screen controls, so if your touch screen doesn't work then don't buy the game 'kay? Also, your microphone needs to work in order to play the game, so again, if your mike don't work either get it repaired or don't go for the game.
The storyline so far seems good, and the objectives in the game are well balanced: not to simple/easy but not out of reach/too challenging. I like how the game play doesn't just involve you on foot, but also lets you drive a train (this can sometimes be slighty tedious...) to get to different areas.
The enemies in the game are very diverse, some of which you need to use your noggin and a variety of methods/instruments to kill.

Again, I'd reccomend this game to everyone within the age rating (above 7 or something). Oh yeah, and it also suggests you should be able to read, but you wouldn't understand any of this if you couldn't so I'm assuming you all know how too XD.

BUT REMEMBER:

  • Touch screen is needed to play this game AT ALL!!!!
  • A working michrophone is also required otherwise you won't get very far at all! XD
  • Trains are often tedious but yet so addictive :D
  • Make notes often on your map, always note down locations of treasure chests and stamp stands as you go along (wait... I didn't put that in the main text... meh...)

And most importantly:

  • YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO READ DAMMIT!

Edit!!!

Trains are incredibly tedious, let them die and rot it hell... or at least make them go faster!
3/4 glyph things completed. Actually getting the fourth one though? -.- I figured out all the puzzles that I need to do, it's doing them that's the f-ing problem!
