I Would Have Said "Merry Christmas"...

...but I didn't, deal with it.

But I do hope you have a good New Year!

Yep, I just made an effort not really

Mein Gott! It's amazing!

It's the night before the night before Christmas and I've FINALLY finished cleaning my room.

It took all day. *tired*

And I think the dust inhalation has given me a cough...

Ah well, c'est la vie!

100100100100100100100100100100100100100100100100

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME to the real 100th Post Special!

This time round it has been planned out lovingly rather than being thrown together at random and with no thought at all (So much so, I typed it out on a Word Document. Yeah, I bet you’re impressed now)!

So without further ado, let's do something interesting!

Professor Layton and the Lost Future

The newest installment of the epic saga to be brought out in the UK, and I'm here to treat you to a review of it! (Hopefully, there will be no spoilers)

First of all, storyline. As with the first and second games, this game has a well thought out plot that manages to entertain the player and keep you interested in playing on. Once again, it manages to twist and turn in ways that are unexpected without becoming annoying or badly thought out. And again, the cinematic scenes you meet along the way are well animated and entertaining - certainly ones you'll want to watch again.

Secondly, puzzles. THE MOST important part of the game, since of course this is the main point of it all. I think they've finally found the balance - the puzzles vary in complexity without ever being stupidly hard or annoyingly easy. The difficulty of the later puzzles in the game is somewhere between that of the first and second - they're certainly solvable should you think for a while, but not so easy you finish in a heartbeat. They are well intertwined with the story, and don't seem as though they were just thrown in - "Oh, let's just chuck this one in here."
Certain puzzles were clearly constructed for the sole purpose of being placed in the story, rather than being selected from a list and being given pretty graphics (an example of a well fitted puzzle would certainly be "Slot Machine Gun", which on it's own is a good puzzle but also helps the story along). Of course, there are the odd miscellaneous puzzles thrown in and hidden in banana skins and what not (I kid you not, three banana skin puzzles!) but what would Professor Layton be without them huh?

Then of course there are the side challenges you can access through the trunk. Now these, these annoy me. Possibly just because two of them are just annoying for me, and the other is so easy it's unbelievable. However, since they don't actually need to be completed to progress with the storyline (though they do if you want to finish everything the game has to offer) this can be easily overlooked.

Finally, a quick poke at the progression of graphic and game play. Though not much has changed in terms of controls, it certainly seems a lot more evolved in terms of graphics and puzzle finding. This is probably a good way to approach it, I feel the controls are certainly fine as they are and the changes they have made are small but effective.

I would give you a rating for this game, buuuuuut I feel I might be slightly bias. So I'll give you a quick run down of whether or not you should buy:
This game revolves around puzzles. If you don't like them, steer clear.

That's all there is to say, apart from I love this game and I can't wait for number 4!

Yep, I really did just put a game review in the 100th post special. I did feel it was needed though, and I have done that sort of thing before...

SO, on with the...blog.

Muffins and Buckets

I recently took it upon myself to create a blog for the sole purpose of showcasing my "just for laughs" story: "I Love Thee Like A Bucket"

It revolves around the disappearance of a treasured bucket, and follows Marvin the Muffin Man, a baker chosen because of his supreme baking skills to cook muffins for the "Big Man" himself (yep, religious reference), as he searches to find the bucket and return it to it's rightful resting place before it falls into the wrong hands.

I may have just made it sound better than it actually is...

As I say, the story was produced for a laugh and should not be taken all that seriously. It does involve the personification of God, Satan and Jesus (plus I also harnessed Joan of Arc...'cause it just makes everything more awkward) but I'm trying my best not to skirmish their name and whatnot. But really, if you are really quite religious it may not be the one for you.

Hereeeee it is!

(Also, a disclaimer: I do not own Seb, I'm borrowing with permission from one Natasha Pain.)

So, since I'm on a roll now I can now bring you an update as to my life in general.

Now, this post has been in the making quite some time, but since this last bit is actually relatively new, you're only getting an overview of recent events.

17th December

This is the day school ended on (yesterday), and so I went up to town with Ellie to...do something or other. After ringing Becka and meeting up unexpectedly with Tash, the four of us sat in Mc Donald's to wait for Ellie's friends from Farnbough. I'm going to skip the next 20 minutes because I don't want to go into rage mode again, but we ended up walking down the highstreet, severely annoyed at how condescending adults can be to people who aren't also adults. I bought them each a box of After Eights for Christmas and...not a lot else happened. Ellie's friends walked away shortly after departing McDonald's and we didn't see them after that.

18th December (today)

So I was woken up at 10 o'clock today. And there I was hoping my lie in would last longer. Turns out it's snowed again, which is aggravating since we really don't need/want it anymore because school isn't open anyway, added to the fact I should be going up to London on the train tomorrow with guides. And if it's cancelled for the second year in a row because of snow I will have a fit (a very quiet fit in my head, but a fit none the less)!

And that's...a brief update. I really am stuck as to what to put now, but I feel as though I'm letting you all down with this anticlimati- over it.

THAT'S ALL FOR NOWWWWWWWW!

Bye. And stuff.

"Make 100 part 6" It's so exciting the sky got dandruff

It did snow! It's only 2 inches deep, and it's been here for the last two days. And it's starting to piss me off. The roads are already COVERED in black ice, the pavements are treacherous and it's cold. No wait...I like the cold, scratch that last.

I'm sorry for the horrible blurry pictures; my hand is as steady as a drunkard with Parkinson's.

The dog in the back garden

Just outside my house.
At least it's given me something to post about?
-Hannah
P.S. I'm buying the sky some Head & Shoulders, how much should I get?
BONUS! (that I really should save for next post - 100th!)

No dog, the snow is not food, and you can't pick it up like that.
(My mum is holding the camera, I'm the one throwing snowballs at the dog. Sorry for the audio cut outs, that's what happens when you zoom)
